GAMR Play Pad not connecting to Android TV

Modified on Mon, Oct 19 at 6:59 AM

If your GAMR Play Pad doesn’t connect to your Android TV, the Play Pad is usually still saved as a paired device from an earlier session. Disconnecting it, removing it from the paired list, and pairing again fixes it.

Step 1: Put your GAMR Play Pad in pairing mode

  1. Press and hold the Power button on the headboard of your GAMR Play Pad.
  2. Confirm that the GAMR "G" logo is blinking.
  3. A blinking "G" logo means pairing mode is active.

Step 2: Disconnect your GAMR Play Pad

  1. On your Android TV, open the Bluetooth pairing screen titled "Select the Bluetooth devices you want to pair."
  2. Under Paired Devices, select your Play Pad, listed as Gamr<mac address>.
  3. The message "Do you want to disconnect Gamr<mac address>?" appears.
  4. Select Disconnect.

Step 3: Unpair your GAMR Play Pad

  1. Select your Play Pad in the list again.
  2. The message "Unpair Gamr<mac address>?" appears.
  3. Select Unpair.
  4. Your Play Pad is now removed from the paired devices list.

Step 4: Scan and pair again

  1. Select Scan.
  2. Wait while the TV shows "Scanning for Bluetooth devices in pairing mode…"
  3. Look for Gamr<mac address> under Available Devices, shown with the status Needs pairing.
  4. Select Gamr<mac address>.
  5. Select Pair and connect.
  6. Wait a few seconds while the TV shows "Connecting to Gamr<mac address>…"

Step 5: Confirm the connection

  1. Your Play Pad appears under Paired Devices with the status Connected.

  2. The blinking "G" logo turns into a steady glow on your GAMR Play Pad.
